All You Should Understand About the Forex Trading Markets
There are three kinds of markets in the foreign currency exchange (Forex) market that any effective Forex trading strategy will include: up trending, down trending, and range bound.
A good knowledge of these 3 markets will benefit your Forex trading strategy. It's simple enough to spot up and down trends with a 4-hour chart. Look for the trends using a dependable 4-hour chart and trade as soon as you locate one.
You should be adaptable and not only rely on 4-hour charts, though. Larger timespans on your chart might not display trends at times. There are a few trends you can't find on a 4-hour chart, so you require the short timeframes of range bound to give you trading options. You can find short-term trades of 20-30 pips with smaller frames (e.g. 30 minutes).
Make taking a break from the market a must in your Forex trading strategy. Sit out if you are not seeing trends on the 4-hour charts or there is an absence of feasible short-term trades. Check back later to see if there are fresh 4-hour charts on hand or if new trends have come out.
Using a Forex trading strategy and system that approaches trading based on a set of market indicators is so much better than just specializing in a few pairs. Here are some reasons why you want a Forex trading system based on indicators:
- You can minimize the time spent on research. You do not have to spend your time researching on what economies and countries are likely to do if you are using indicators because you only need to focus on trade signals.
- You can trade on different sets of pairs and not only 1, using the same set of indicators.
- You can trade on all pairs and not just some, providing you broader trading capabilities. If you just master some pairs, your Forex trading strategy is limited and you can't do anything if these pairs aren't showing any trends. There is no scarcity of trends to trade on because indicators are used on all pairs.
