Scrubs Works Its Magic
One of the greatest sitcoms ever, Scrubs is one of the better TV shows that you are likely to see in the near future. Though FRIENDS retains its spot as no.1 in my all-time favorites list, Scrubs is definitely making its way up the ladder.
One of the greatest sitcoms ever, Scrubs is one of the better TV shows that you are likely to see in the near future. Though FRIENDS retains its spot as no.1 in my all-time favorites list, Scrubs is definitely making its way up the ladder. And the entire TV viewing community has voiced this and this is evident from television ratings, where Scrubs has managed to capture the no.1 spot in the TV ratings.
So you must be thinking as to what is so great about this show? WellIf I told you that, then whats the point? But I am a nice guy, so I guess Ill have to tell you.
So Scrubs is basically about the lives of physicians in a hospital and how they deal with the obstacles and stresses that come their way, and yes, obviously it does include comedy. The main guys in the story are John Dorian, Chris Turk and Elliot Reid. There are many other characters but I will not waste my time talking about them. Ill give you a brief run-through though.
Apart from the main characters, you do have Jordon, kelso, Todd, keith, Dugg (I can keep going on and on) but I guess you would just stop reading. So I will not talk much about the characters. Ill just give you a taste of the plot. So initially, the show goes on showing the lives of a few fresh interns at a hospital and I must admit that the initial episodes really seemed a lot like Ally McBeal to me. I have always been a fan of Ally McBeal and I was not very interested in watching some crazy rip-off of it. But as the show progressed, I sort of got addicted to it. The reason?
Well, this show is as funny as funny can get. I am serious. You will literally develop a stomach ache by laughing so hard and sometimes, I felt that it was better than FRIENDS. And like every other popular sitcom, Scrubs too has its share of relationship-centered episodes, which I am sure most viewers love. The later seasons were hilarious and I ended up skipping work to watch re-runs. Of-course there have been some disastrously boring episodes where you just feel that the show works better than your sleeping pills, but apart from a few dry patches here and there, I really cannot find any other flaw with the show.
This is one of those shows where I will definitely not think twice to take out my wallet and buy all the seasons on DVD, because you can just keep watching it over and over again.
