One Tree Hill: Debating Mark Schwahn's Cameo
One Tree Hill series creator and executive producer Mark Schwahn did a cameo appearance on one of the shows most recent episode. The writer/director played the role of a person who was offering Peyton an advice on romance. Some of the fans are delighted while the others were not so happy about it. But Schwahn is not affected by the comments.
Mark Schwahn has no qualms about appearing onscreen. He has already done this on the shows fourth season before. In 1997 he also played a small role in Colin Fitz, an independent comedy film written by Tom Morrissey and directed by Robert Bella. The story revolved around two security guards hired to look after the grave of rock legend Colin Fitz. In one night, the guards learn much about life, death and the magic of the rock star. The film earned nominations and awards from the Austin Film Festival, Florida Film Festival, Long Island Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival and WorldFest Houston.
So while others may be bothered with his sudden popping out on the scene, Schwahn just goes back to work and undeniably does well in his field.
Schwahn wrote the 1997 film 35 Miles from Normal . It won the Special Jury Award at the Florida Film Festival and was even nominated for the Grand Jury Awards.
He is also the screenwriter behind movies like Whatever it Takes, The Perfect Score and Coach Carter, which starred Samuel Jackson. A film based on a true story, Coach Carter received thumbs up from several moviegoers. It was nominated Outstanding Motion Picture at the Black Movie Awards and the Image Awards, Best Film at the Black Reel Awards, Best Sports Movie at the ESPY Awards, Favorite Movie Drama at Peoples Choice Awards and Choice Movie Drama at the Teen Choice Awards.
Schwann was born in the year 1996 and was raised in Pontiac , Illinois . His early interest in the field of filmmaking pushed him to attend a film school at the University of Maryland .
