The "Swiss Tech UKTBS Utili-Key 6-in-1" attaches easily to your key ring and is completely unobtrusive, being the same shape and size of a normal key. The multi-tool can be a little hard to open at first, but becomes easier with usage. While it says 6-in-1 (Flat Screwdriver, Micro Eyeglass Screwdriver, Bottle Opener, Phillips Screwdriver, and Knife), I find that the Phillips Screwdriver and Knife are the most practical and get the most use. The tool is reasonably well made and sturdy, but should not be used as a pry bar or other high stress uses. A handy and convenient tool, recommended if like having basic tools with you at all times.
Broke after a month December 23, 2008 iomatic (portland, OR United States)
The clasp broke pretty quickly. Also de-attaches pretty easily in my opinion. Useful when it works, though...
Good Utility item, but not very strong October 24, 2008 V. Bhavsar (Boston, MA USA)
I used this product for a while. I would recommend this product but not for someone who has a chunk of stuff on his key chain. I had about 4 keys, one usb drive and this swissgear item. Due to the longer length of this item as compared to standard keys, it is probably subject to uneven forces which causes it to break (the metal loop which loops in the keychain and is the thinnest part). I broke mine within 6 months...so go for it but consider your key chain bunch and the way you (and your kids) use it.
Utili-Key vs Jeans. The jeans won. October 7, 2008 Nicholas Lekatsas (Woonsocket, RI) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I enjoyed this handy little tool for several months. It can be a bit cumbersome leaving it attached to your keyring like I did because it's certainly longer than your average key. As a result it has a habit of getting caught in your pockets when you're trying to get it out. One night I was a bit short on patience and was trying to get my keys out to get into my apartment. It got snagged so I angrily yanked the keys out which completely snapped the top hook of the key off. Since it lost the ability to attach to anything it was junk to me so I had to toss it.
Handy little tool August 9, 2008 M. Lewandowski (MI)
I use to keep a Leatherman squirt on my keychain, but even being so small it was a little hefty for a two-key keyring. Enter the Utili-key. It's not much bigger than a large key while containing quite a few useful features. I use it frequently because it's always at my side. I'm most surprised that I use the little flat screwdriver quite often. It's small enough for small screws, and it's pretty tough. I agree with other reviewers that it's a little hard to open, and you have to watch the blade, but I haven't cut myself yet (and I'm usually prone to it). As tough as it is, there must've been a flaw in the metal, and the little arm (with the little screwdriver) broke off when I dropped my keys on the carpet! Surprising after what I put it though up to that point. HOWEVER Swiss Tech customer service was quick and friendly, and upheld their warranty. This is a great company, and a handy tool for your keyring. Don't expect it to work miracles, but it's great tool to always have at your side.
