It was a gift for my son, but I found it enjoying myself. It's easy to set, easy to move and have decent stability.
Fun, lightweight indoor toy December 24, 2008 Monica B. (Western states, USA)
I hesitated to buy this because of some poor reviews, but because we have a Playhut tent that's taken tons of abuse well, I decided to take the plunge on the Playhut Sports Arcade. I'm a bit of a quality snob, and my biggest fear that the structure would be unsturdy and cheap was calmed once I figured out that the "legs" toward the back needed to be stabilized by simply hooking a button into a loop on the rear of the arcade. The arcade's lightweight build probably won't withstand repeated or heavy abuse, but my young kids were crawling underneath it, stepping on the ramp, and bumping into it with no visible harm done. The arcade stood and balanced fairly well, but most importantly, the kids had a blast throwing balls into it. I was surprised how such a simple, low-tech concept kept them occupied and focused for a good stretch of time. Even better, it seemed to keep them entertained equally, despite their age differences (ranging from 2 to 6). The balls were a bit cheap and cheesy (they are those lightweight "ball pit" balls), but they work well enough. I'm planning on buying some raquetballs and small playground balls (2.5") that should work even better.
RETURNED IMMEDIATELY November 11, 2008 L. Rosenblatt (NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I thought this was a great toy for my two grandchildren who are 2-1/2 years old when they visit me. What a big disappointment. The balls never return to me they get stuck near the opening. When you throw them at the openings with the flap they never go through because the balls are to light and the flap stays in place. My granddchildren enjoyed climbing into it and just playing with the balls. I folded it up and returned it.
Fun while it lasts November 9, 2008 S. Palicki (Orting WA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This toy was fun while it lasted. It never stood up as nice as the picture shows it was always falling over and you had to prop it up against something. The kids liked it but my husband and I did not. They were always asking us to fix it! Wouldn't recommend. We only had it for 9months and it was sent to the trash after it ripped.
Preschool review November 3, 2008 Ms. Pat (Florida)
My preschool has a children's (2-5yrs) halloween carnival every year and we are always on the look-out for something new for the children to do. This was rated "the best" by the children! Since the game is a 3 in 1, the children had fun with the varying difficulties and I have a toy that has great portability, easy storage, and is self-directed.
